Can it be used on stainless steel products?
Stainless steel products are good to go! We recommend washing them separately from anodized aluminum pots and pans; running them in the same cycle as stainless steel can impact the finish. -
Can I use this with hand washing and dishwashers?
We’re not the boss of you, but please don’t do this. Just add Truman’s manual dish soap to your Christmas list, and if you’re really good this year, we just may offer it. -
Can this be used to clean counters, stoves, faucets etc?
We recommend Everything and the Kitchen Sink, Truman’s non-toxic multi-purpose kitchen cleaner, for any of these hard surfaces. Only use Your Dish Is My Command in dishwashers. (We thought the name kinda made that clear.) -
You could hand polish your dishes...or just use the heated dry cycle of your dishwasher. Your call!

Only if there is grease :)

What is the film encapsulating the detergent made from?
We use a food-grade PVA film that’s completely water soluble. Technically, it’s edible (though friendly reminder, the detergent is not). -
Why am I seeing a film on my dishes?
There are a number of reasons a film appear on dishes and glasses. 1) A ghost playing a prank. Will I need to soak dishes before using this?
A quick rinse is always a good idea, but if you have a high-powered dishwasher, this might not be necessary. -
No! These dissolvable and biodegradable bars are tough on food remnants, but gentle on your plumbing.

Nope! Those bad boys are going to be just fine.

Will this work in all dishwasher models?
